Evolution and Genomics of Viruses
Our group studies the evolutionary arms-race of viruses and their hosts.
We use a highly multidisciplinary approach spanning evolutionary theory, computational biology, and “wet” lab experimental evolution.
These are some of the questions we try to answer:

How do viruses adapt to constantly changing environments?

Can we predict the future course of viral evolution?
Another tragedy has hit the lab.
Liam Shrut, a research assistant in the lab who was about to begin her Master's degree, was killed in a car accident. May her memory be a blessing.
